After a warm welcome and a tour of the office, Helena was given an initial overview of Eiffage and the professions of civil engineer and draughtsman. The tasks of work preparation were explained to her and the further course of the day was discussed.
Well prepared and equipped with PPE, they then travelled to two new bridge construction projects in close proximity to each other.
She learnt a lot of new things that day...
Helena learned how to use a rover rod from the foreman and they marked out points for the production of precast elements. The responsible work planner explained to her how to use a drone on the construction site.
During another site inspection for a bid project, she was allowed to allocate and enter pictures she had taken in an overview plan.
Helena's conclusion: A cool but exhausting day! Lots of first insights into interesting projects.
