Here, the long-distance railway bridge was moved from the upstream pre-assembly site on a skidway over the already constructed abutments and then placed on the structure. We recorded the whole process in a video. Here you can see the wider mainline railway bridge; the suburban railway bridge had already been moved earlier.
The Eiffage VP6 Blankenfelde consortium consists of Eiffage Infra-Nordwest, Eiffage Infra-Rail, Eiffage Infra-Bau and Eiffage Infra-Ost and is building the so-called "Dresden railway" by 2028. By 2025, four new engineering structures (railway overpasses, crossing structures, trough structures) will be built and an approx. 1.5 km long concrete trough; platforms; noise barriers and the associated track, earthworks, civil engineering and track construction will be adapted over a section of approx. 2.5 km so that a double-track long-distance railway line is created after completion of the construction work, which will enable the transfer between long-distance and suburban railway at a new combined platform. Three of the four engineering structures are currently under construction. Due to the operating conditions, the other structures/sections will be erected later in the construction process.
