Our Civil Engineering and Road Construction department has been commissioned by the federal motorway company Autobahn GmbH to carry out work on the A5 Weinheim motorway.
The main purpose of the construction project is to repair road damage in the area of the Weinheim motorway junction. The aim of this road renewal is to completely renew all parts of the Weinheim motorway junction in the Darmstadt direction. This affects the main carriageway of the A5 from approx. km 559+340 to approx. km 560+640, the entire distributor carriageway, the ramp of the Heidelberg - Weinheim carriageway, the ramp of the Weinheim - Darmstadt carriageway, the ramp of the Heidelberg - Viernheim carriageway and the ramp of the Viernheim - Darmstadt carriageway. The construction work includes the excavation of the old concrete and asphalt carriageways. The new carriageway will be constructed using asphalt.
The contract value is around €5.8 million net. Construction work began in March 2025 and is expected to be completed in October 2025.
